In physics, the neutron is a subatomic particle [1] with no net electric charge [2] and a mass of 939.573 (1.6749 × 10 −27 kg, slightly more than a proton).

Uses Edit

The neutron plays an important role in many nuclear reactions. For example, neutron capture often results in neutron activation [3], inducing radioactivity [4]. In particular, knowledge of neutrons and their behavior has been important in the development of nuclear reactors and nuclear weapons [5].
